Concealer That Enlivens Your Complexion

What is concealer?

Concealer is a type of cosmetic that is used to mask the dark circles under your eyes as well as any blemishes or pimples on your face. Concealer is used to hide these blemishes by blending the concealer into the foundation on the surrounding skin and evening out the tone of the skin overall. Concealer is often paired with foundation that is usually applied as a full-face coverage. The difference between concealer and foundation is that concealer is often thicker since it contains more pigment.

Do I need concealer?

Not everyone needs concealer. However, if you have any skin blemishes such as red patches, dry patches, yellow patches, blue areas, bruising, or any other parts of your skin that are unevenly matched, concealer can effectively help to blend the blemishes away making them disappear from sight.

What shade of concealer should I use?

Many people wonder what shade of concealer they should use to properly blend with their skin. Most often, you should choose a concealer that is at least one shade lighter than the foundation you use. Using a lighter shade creates a different coloring to the skin and helps you blend it in to the surrounding foundation. If you suffer from extremely dark circles under your eyes, you might have to go two shades lighter.

What shades of concealer are available?

There are an abundance of different shades of concealer available from the lightest, palest color to deepest, darkest shade. Any woman, whether they have perfectly porcelain skin or medium skin and natural undertones, there is a concealer that can match your skin tones. Most shades of concealer are meant to look like a natural skin tone, while others are vibrant shades that are meant to contrast a certain skin color or blemish. For example, if you find that you have a bluish or grey tint to the circles under your eyes, a yellow shade of corrective concealer can help to even out the skin color and diminish unsightly raccoon eyes. On the other hand, if you have a slightly brown tint to the circles under your eyes, you will want to choose a light blue or purple hue concealer. When contrasting the colors you can cancel out the blemishes.

How do I use/apply colored concealers?

It is smart to apply the colored concealers very lightly. You do not need much concealer to counteract skin issues such as rosacea, pimples, broken blood vessels or capillaries.

When should I use white concealer?

You should only use white concealer to help blur the dark circles and bruises on your skin. You can also use it to brighten up your skin if it appears dull.

How do I use/apply regular, skin colored concealer?

Even with skin colored concealers, you should apply them sparingly and blend in to the surrounding area and foundation.
Are there different kinds of concealer?

Concealers can range from a light powder to a heavy paste. Typically, the heavier the concealer, the more coverage it will provide. However, not all heavy paste concealers are best for your skin. Some light powder concealers, such as mineral concealers, work just as well at concealing skin problems without having to use the heavy products. Heavy products can sometimes clog pores and create further skin problems and, therefore, it is best to use a characteristically lightweight concealer.

Mineral Concealer Make-Up: Enliven your Complexion

Mineral make up is a great way to enliven your complexion. It allows your natural skin tones to shine through while still covering up blemishes and skin problems. Mineral make up works differently than most cosmetic products by allowing light to reflect off of the skin. Even though mineral make up is applied lightly, it often does a better job of covering up blemishes and any skin discolorations.

Another benefit of mineral make up is that it tends to last a long time once applied. Mineral make-up adheres to the skin and blends in thoroughly as a light mask on your face. Cream and paste concealers tend to be heavier and often need to be reapplied throughout the day to maintain ample coverage of blemishes and skin discolorations. This can often be time consuming and more expensive.

Most women look for full coverage and easy to apply makeup that offers all day coverage. This reduces the time that women spend applying makeup while achieving perfectly flawless skin. This can easily be done with mineral make up concealer and foundation. Again, there is no need to reapply your concealer or foundation more than once.

Take a look at mineral make up concealer and foundation the next time you are purchasing cosmetic products. You will be completely content with the overall coverage that mineral make up offers you, at an affordable price
