SLB ends controversy surrounding Ram Leela

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film Ram Leela featuring Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh has been mired in controversy for the past few weeks. Though the Delhi High court dismissed a peal that requested a ban on the release of the film, we hear that Bhansali has decided to put an end to all controversies.

In a letter to Pravinsinh Jadeja, president of Shree Kutch Kathiawad Gujarat Garasia Association, Bhansali Productions has stated that they would be replacing the words Chandravanshi, Kshatriya, Rajput, Jadeja and Rabari with fictitious ones.

The said letter signed by Chetan Deolekar, executive producer of Bhansali Productions Private limited, states, "Bhansali being a Gujarati himself has immense respect and regards for Jadeja community and does not intend to or has any intention to hurt the feelings or sentiments of the people of the said or any other community and he would never indulge in any activity to hurt the feelings and sentiments of the communities."
